Republican Women’s Reception to Host Dr. Sebastian Gorka
Annual Membership Reception Encourages Local Conservative Involvement
ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Commonwealth Republican Women’s Club (CRWC) will host popular Fox News contributor, bestselling author, and former Trump Administration official Dr. Sebastian Gorka at its annual Membership Reception at the Lyceum History Museum on April 26, 2018.
Dr. Gorka will discuss current national security and political topics as well as his newest book, Why We Fight: Recovering America’s Will to Win. He will be available to sign copies of his book and there will be a limited number of books on site for purchase.
This annual event is open to the public, guests, and potential new members. The event is free and will begin with a buffet reception and wine bar at 7:00. Newcomers are encouraged to mingle with members and learn about the activities of the club. The program and speaker portion of the evening will begin at 7:45. The Lyceum is located at 201 S. Washington Street.
CRWC is Alexandria’s local chapter of the National Federation of Republican Women. Each year, CRWC holds a membership reception event to highlight the club’s involvement in the local political community. CRWC encourages local conservative women of all ages to become more politically involved by helping support and elect Republican candidates to public office at the local, state, and national levels. The club also has a conservative book club and organizes activities to support local community charitable organizations.
CRWC President Eileen Brackens says, “Conservative women will instantly feel at home with CRWC. We have a lot of different personalities to make things fun, but we all share a general set of common values and sense of patriotism. I think potential members will really enjoy the event.” She notes that the club isn’t just for women; affiliated memberships are available for men. Husbands and wives often attend CRWC events together.
