Linda App - 1st VP, Program
Linda App (MBA/CPA) worked for thirty years in the fields of banking, public accounting, and government financial management. She previously served as the CRWC 2nd VP of Membership. She has served on a variety of boards in the fields of education, homelessness, the arts, child protection, etc. Her interests include natural health, Bible study (history and prophecy in Christian faith), current events (facts vs. biased news), and fiscal sustainability. She is concerned about the Left’s control over the media as a major contributor to the decline and division in American culture. She hopes CRWC can help educate the public about both the wisdom of our policies and the benefits of having elected conservative voices in our majority-Democrat city, encouraging them to join the #WalkAway movement and leave the Democrat party. She was very active in the GOP candidate campaigns in the November 2018 election. She is married and has two sons, both Eagle Scouts. Let’s Make Alexandria Great Again! #MAGA

Like so many of us in Northern Virginia, I was raised in the military, Dad was Army, and I moved with my parents and brother and sister to many assignments such as Verdun,France and Ankara, Turkey and lived in Ft. Monroe,Va, now a decommissioned fort with a moat. We moved to Annandale, VA and my parents retired there. My husband, Lou and I have 2 children, our daughter was born in California and our son in Ohio. We have lived all over the country, Wheeling, St. Louis twice, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, Houston and Fairfax. We seem to have a wander lust, as we have lived in D.C., Brunswick , GA and Alexandria since we retired. We also lived on a sailboat, but always had a home port. Our furthest sail, with our yellow lab, was a 7 day sail to Bermuda, then back again. Most of our time on the boat was spent in the Bahamas, but our last 2 winters was in Key West, Florida.I have always been a Conservative and voted Republican, except for the year I voted for Ross Perot. He, too, was against NAFTA. Of course, because of my vote and 20% other Americans, Bill Clinton became President. I guess you could say “that was a hard lesson.” I was a member of the Washington, D.C. Republican Party and then a member of the Golden Island Women’s Republican Party when I lived in Brunswick, GA. That was a wonderful experience. I learned that women can make real changes, because they have the perseverance and fortitude to get things done.
