For members of the Commonwealth Club, the election, in November 2009, of Bob McDonnell, Governor, Bill Bolling, Lieutenant Governor, and Ken cuccinelli, Attorney General, was an achievement in which they felt they played an important local role.
In addition, CRWC members helped elect Alicia Hughes, CRWC member, to the Alexandria City Council in May 2009 and at the same time elected Frank Fannon, a well-known Alexandria Republican.
